Tim, another great article that speaks to me directly! Two weeks ago I got rejected for my dream job, a job I was 95% sure I was qualified for. It’s a company that only hires world-class developers, so I was shooting for top 5% of the world. I didn’t get it. The way I perceived myself is not how they perceived me. I was surprisingly pumped about that rejection. I had almost given up on becoming a better developer because I didn’t feel challenged enough anymore. Now here’s a company telling me I can do better. I’ve got more motivation now that I’ve had in years thanks to that!
