I like this Melissa Nicole.
There are quite a few different ways.
I know a lot of people who make their money freelancing on Upwork or Fiverr. I know other people teaching languages abroad.
In my case, the bulk of it comes from writing and affiliate marketing. Mind you, it’s far from being a spectacular salary.
The reality is, it’s much cheaper to live abroad (I guess that depends on where you live currently). I was doing service exchange in Cambodia to live for free (check out workaway.info).
In south of Spain, I was living on 500 euros a month.
In India, my apartment was paid by the company I was taking photos for, so I only had to pay for my meals and other small expenses. Meals usually cost < $3.
In Colombia, I was living on $750 CAD / month, including the apartment, meals, the coworking space, etc.
If you are working at a job, you might be interested in Remote Year. Many people I met doing it were employees. I’m not sure if their company was paying for it though.
Hope that helps!
