Hi Greg, thanks for the comment. That’s deep.
I read you comment to Tom Kuegler, and from what I’m reading, you definitely have something valuable to write here on Medium.
For me, writing has probably been the most liberating thing I’ve ever done. I’m an introvert who usually don’t share about myself because I don’t consider myself to be interesting.
Yet when I started writing here, it turns out I had so more more to say than I initially thought I would, and I ended up writing almost once a day for 5 months and I wrote 2 books. Somehow, people were interested in what I had to say.
Also the fact that you’re reading on this very subject, and you agree with it, proves to me that you have that desire to get yourself out of that situation.
One of my favourite quotes is:
“It is not death a man should feat, but he should fear never beginning to live.” — Marcus Aurelius
That — the way I read it — has no notion of age. I’m not 62, but I’d say it’s far from over to turn things around.
In one of Tim Ferriss’ podcast show, they were talking about a doctor in a seniors’ home who took up swimming at the age of 92. He trained for two years and decided to beat his best score, which he did. That’s the incredible proof that, no matter the age, you can always improve.
Anyway, you didn’t ask for this so I hope I’m not offending you. Just trying to help. If you are interested in writing on Medium, I could share with you things I’ve learned that works, mostly on the side of formatting, headlining, choosing images, etc.
You can do this!
